“There were a lot of situations where we could have died. But there was no time to think about it. People were dying everywhere. There were a lot of tanks, guns and fighter jets. We’ve had no time to worry, we had to gain guns, follow AK’s orders and fight against occupation. To gain guns some of us had to sacrifice their lives. One guy, called Półtorak, buried at cementary on Kalwaryjska Cementary took guns of two German SS-men. Plenty of risk, tough times, much tougher than for teenagers nowadays.”
