“I’ve been going over there to Grammar School and there were quite few boys from AK. A lot of very young boys were there, one at the age of 16 lost both his parents in the Warsaw Uprising. We’ve had chance to go and study in the United States of America. I’ve told my mum about it. She didn’t give my any sort of advice regarding that proposal. Instead she has asked me a question: “Are we going to see each other anytime in the future?”. I didn’t go to live in USA, but instead I went back to live in Poland.”
