A short break on the way to ordination

The hand lying on the face indicates the place where women treat wanderers with cutlets. The feet are placed in the direction of the great inscription on the facade of the temple: “Save your soul, tremble for your salvation”, and the tip of the nose – towards the stork’s nest with its birdly hosts inside. The elbow is pointing to the memory of a man with an unreadable name. His wife Katarzyna is lying next to him.

The young seminarian will stay in this place for about ten more minutes. The birds will stay for a month. Catherine will be here invariably since January 21, 1895.

Krótki odpoczynek na drodze do święceń

Dłoń leżąca na twarzy wskazuje miejsce, gdzie kobiety karmią wędrowców kotletami. Stopy ułożone są w kierunku wielkiego napisu na fasadzie świątyni: “Ratuj duszę swoją, drżyj o swoje zbawienie”, a czubek nosa – w kierunku bocianiego gniazda z ptasimi gospodarzami w środku. Łokieć kieruje ku wspomnieniu o mężczyźnie z trudnym do odczytania imieniem. Tuż obok niego leży jego żona Katarzyna.

Młody kleryk zostanie w tym miejscu jeszcze około dziesięciu minut. Ptaki pozostaną przez miesiąc. Niezmiennie, od 21 stycznia 1895 roku, będzie tutaj Katarzyna.
