My visa will expire in a few hours and I don&#8217;t have a back-up plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few kilometres before the Belarus-Lithuania border, a patrol stops me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;Where are you going?&#8217; The uniformed man asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;To Vilnius. My GPS shows that&#8230;&#8217; I answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officer interrupts me and orders to turn back. The border crossing is closed and I will not cross in my car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All right. At the same moment, I can see another car passing by the patrol and going further. I\u2019m following it, but as the car turns right, I understand that I have to return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are the same guards again, this time running out and stretching a spike strip on the road to stop my car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;What have you done?! Did I not express myself clearly?&#8217; He&#8217;s shouting at me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;Excuse me. My GPS&#8230; and that car. Za par\u0119 godzin wyga\u015bnie wa\u017cno\u015b\u0107 wizy, a ja nie mam planu awaryjnego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kilka kilometr\u00f3w przed granic\u0105 z Litw\u0105 zatrzymuje mnie patrol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Dok\u0105d pan jedzie? \u2013 pyta cz\u0142owiek w mundurze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Do Wilna. M\u00f3j GPS pokazuje, \u017ce&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stra\u017cnik przerywa mi i informuje, \u017ce przej\u015bcie graniczne jest zamkni\u0119te i nie przejad\u0119.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Rozumiem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>W tym samym momencie widz\u0119 inny samoch\u00f3d, kt\u00f3ry omija patrol i jedzie dalej. Ruszam za nim. Kiedy samoch\u00f3d skr\u0119ca w prawo, dociera do mnie, \u017ce musz\u0119 zawr\u00f3ci\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zn\u00f3w ci sami stra\u017cnicy. Tym razem wybiegaj\u0105 na drog\u0119 i rozci\u0105gaj\u0105 kolczatk\u0119, by zatrzyma\u0107 m\u00f3j samoch\u00f3d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Co pan robi?! Czy nie wyrazi\u0142em si\u0119 jasno? \u2013 krzyczy do mnie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Przepraszam. M\u00f3j GPS\u2026 i tamten samoch\u00f3d. M\u00f3j rosyjski nie jest zbyt dobry \u2013 odpowiadam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zostaj\u0119 wylegitymowany, a w mi\u0119dzyczasie przepraszam jeszcze z dwie\u015bcie razy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kilkana\u015bcie minut p\u00f3\u017aniej parkuj\u0119 na poboczu.
